Aaron Wiggins is a professional basketball player for the Oklahoma City Thunder, but his impact extends far beyond the hardwood. Raised in a faith-driven, hardworking family; Aaron’s journey to the NBA was built on perseverance, discipline, and a commitment to excellence—values instilled in him by his parents. Aaron is the second oldest of five children.

Before his rise in the basketball world, Aaron’s upbringing was anything but conventional. His mother, a firm believer in developing well-rounded children, encouraged him to explore music, dance, and theater alongside sports and academics. From playing the piano and trombone in church to excelling in jazz, tap, hip-hop, and lyrical dance, Aaron developed a foundation of discipline, balance, and body control—skills that later translated seamlessly to his basketball career.

After a standout high school career at Wesleyan Christian Academy, where he earned NCISAA All-State honors, Aaron committed to the University of Maryland. As a Terrapin, he quickly became known for his versatility, leadership, and ability to step up in big moments, earning All-Big Ten honors and the Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year award. In 2021, he declared for the NBA Draft and was selected 55th overall by the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Since entering the league, Aaron has continued to rise, solidifying himself as a key contributor with a strong work ethic and team-first mentality. Yet, despite his growing success, he remains committed to giving back—channeling his passion into mentorship and youth development through his newly established AAU program, AWIGG ELITE.
